This course is a continuation of INGL 3231 that focused on intense practice of the accepted patterns for prose exposition to master a precise and clear writing style. It is designed to contribute to the development of the writing skills necessary to enable students to use writing as an expressive, persuasive and expository tool for both teaching and learning. The acquired writing skills are to be applied to a variety of literary topics. It is understood that these skills are acquired better throughout the appreciation and imitation of exemplary forms, analysis of prose selections, basic investigation concentrating on data gathering, analysis and organization of information within a research paper, and use of references for identifying sources.
